watching this movie in a packed theater as a shared experience was honestly what took it to another level for me

at one point in the movie, when the black students union members are discussing whether or not their numbers are great enough to march over to the social club’s racist party, one character just says very simply, in answer, something like:

"the hispanic students’ association is meeting across the hall. asian-american league, too."

the theater ERUPTED into cheers and applause. one row of college students a bit behind us yelled “YASS solidarity!”

and some tears leaked out of my eyes a little. i have no idea whether or not justin simien intended for that to be a *~meaningful moment~* bc the movie moved right along. but for me that was it

halfway through my season 4 rewatch of the walking dead and just

all I see repeatedly is rick and carl and daryl telling michonne to just stay with them, to stop running off, not to be afraid of being their friend and caring about them and being cared about and I just

this series may be about death but it is probably even more about love

“Oh, Harry, don’t you see?” Hermione breathed. “If she could have done one thing to make absolutely sure that every single person in this school will read your interview, it was banning it!”  - ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, Pg. 513

also that speech - while beautiful - was the least radical thing EVER in terms of the concepts discussed. god forbid anyone ever give me a microphone to speak my mind on feminism in front of the UN  boobiesmcfeels:
